The Story:
The vision for Aaron and Marvin’s House of Sneakers was born from loss. The loss of the founder, Donna Collins's nephew, and her dear friend Bonnie’s brother who had Down syndrome, which he referred to as “Up Syndrome”. These were devastating, unexpected losses that left a huge void in our hearts. Aaron and Marvin were vibrant, full of life, incredibly kind-hearted young men passionate about sneakers, especially Jordans. In honor of these two young men who loved sneakers and the smiles that appeared on their faces when they found the Jordans they were looking for, I’ve discovered a way to keep their spirits alive, help others, and turn our grief into something positive by sharing the joy of new sneakers. We donate new sneakers (Jordans) to kids, hoping to bring a smile to their faces and inspire them just as my nephew and my assistant’s brother inspired us. Each pair of shoes is a tribute to their lives, a reminder that their love and passion continue to make a difference in the world.
The Mission:
Aaron and Marvin’s House of Sneakers is a non-profit Foundation that believes every child deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. Aaron and Marvin's House of Sneakers is committed to providing new sneakers to students who are not only working hard in school but also navigating other life challenges and hardships. By donating sneakers, we are not only giving them comfort and protection but also boosting their self-esteem, confidence, and motivation. We are showing them that we care about their well-being and their future. We are empowering them to walk with pride and joy.
100% of all donations go to the foundation!
